Mens Fashion

While it is very nice to have a selection of fine silk ties, wool suits and attractive jewelry, most of our time is spent in relatively informal settings that do not call for an entire business suit or tuxedo. These occasions might range from lunch with a business partner, investor, or casual date – or they might simply be a vacation, a cruise, or hanging out with your friends at a bar or club. Casual wear is extremely important in showing that style does not have to die at five o' clock!

Jeans, Jeans, Jeans:

Denim jeans are a staple of American culture as much as apple pie, and are just as enjoyable. Many people are under the false impression that jeans are absolutely informal, never to be worn to a job interview nor to any other semi-formal or even dress casual event. The truth of the matter is that many jeans of higher construction and quality can be considered to be dress jeans, and in fact are a more youthful expression of flair and style than dress pants or the khaki pant if cared for properly and worn appropriately.

Light Side, Dark Side:

Think about purchasing a lighter pair of dress jeans for the summer with some minor distressing and with a slight grey or brown tint – lighter tones in the summer pair easily with the brighter hues that are prevalent in this season – polos, short-sleeved shirts, and screen printed t-shirts all work extremely well with the lighter jean. The brighter, more casual style of jeans also accommodate sandals or loafers extremely well – a natural match.
In the fall and winter months, a darker, indigo denim with a noticable white or chocolate tinting would be an excellent choice to bring together with a longer sleeved sportshirt and casual leather jacket or sportcoat, often the colours for fall include many earth-tones and other hues in that range. A nice pair of somewhat worn leather dress boots complimented by a perfectly chosen pair of quality jeans can match a variety of different shirts and jackets to suit the mood and look you are searching for!

Sweaters, Collared Shirts, and Turtlenecks:

Depending on your personal sense of style, a V-neck sweater may be an interesting choice, especially during the fall and winter seasons. They come in a variety of different materials from acrylic to merino wool – and slip easily over a collared shirt for a distinctly intellectual look. Another choice to consider during the winter months is the turtleneck, or for the less conservative, the mock or half turtleneck. For younger men, these mock turtleneck is becoming more and more popular, especially in jersey-knit, zip-up styles. Paired with a staid herringbone jacket or a slick pinstriped blazer, both a v-neck and turtleneck can really promote a clean and smart image without resorting to a business influenced style.
In dispelling the misconceptions surrounding denim is a primary focus in dressing and understanding smart casual, a gentlemen must always attempt new looks and try on items of clothing that they are unfamiliar with. Give these items some consideration and always remember – you'll never really know unless you try it!

Muscle Building

Muscle building seems so complex sometimes that they ought to have it as a course in college. Many people want to build muscle but they do not have a clue how to do it right.

1. Reps mean everything:

If you are a man you want to build muscle right? So when you go to the gym you can focus on one of two things, you can either do high weight and low reps or you can do low weight and high reps. High weight is designed to bulk you up. You want to absolutely kill your muscles when you go into the gym so that your muscles get a maximum workout. If you go about it softly you will not get good results. So when you lift weights or do any kind of exercise you want to make sure you know just how many reps you want to do to see results. It can be one set of ten or ten sets of ten, whichever one you feel will help you build muscle faster is the one you should stick with.

Step 1
Get a cheap weight sets online from a site like craigslist. Weights new can be expensive, which is good, but used weights are exactly the same for about a 1/3 of the price.
Step 2
Work each muscle group about twice a week, leaving at least 48 hours between muscles.
Step 3
Start with your chest and shoulders on day 1. Warm up with push ups on your knees. Then perform 3-4 sets of push ups. If you get tired, you can finish the set on your knees, this is perfectly fine and will break your muscle down more.
Step 4
Turn over right away and do a set of crunches. Take it slow. Each crunch should take you about 3 seconds to perform.
Step 5
With your weights. Do military press by taking a modest amount and lifting it over your head. Don't fully extend your arms but keep it in the working area.
Step 6
To work your back. Lean over and pick up two weights. Be careful not to injure your back so use light weight until you're comfortable. Slowly bring the weights towards the sides of your torso. Do 10 reps at least with 3-4 sets.
Step 7
Finish with your arms. Do simple bicep curls over a chair or standing up. Work your triceps by lifting weight over your head while pivoting at the elbow.

Cancer

The mesothelium is a membrane that covers and protects most of the internal organs of the body. It is composed of two layers of cells: One layer immediately surrounds the organ; the other forms a sac around it. The mesothelium produces a lubricating fluid that is released between these layers, allowing moving organs (such as the beating heart and the expanding and contracting lungs) to glide easily against adjacent structures.

Working with asbestos is the major risk factor for mesothelioma. A history of asbestos exposure at work is reported in about 70 percent to 80 percent of all cases. However, mesothelioma has been reported in some individuals without any known exposure to asbestos. Although reported incidence rates have increased in the past 20 years, mesothelioma is still a relatively rare cancer. About 2,000 new cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed in the United States each year. Mesothelioma occurs more often in men than in women and risk increases with age, but this disease can appear in either men or women at any age.

Treatment for mesothelioma depends on the location of the cancer, the stage of the disease, and the patient's age and general health. Standard treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Sometimes, these treatments are combined.
Surgery is a common treatment for mesothelioma. The doctor may remove part of the lining of the chest or abdomen and some of the tissue around it. For cancer of the pleura (pleural mesothelioma), a lung may be removed in an operation called a pneumonectomy. Sometimes part of the diaphragm, the muscle below the lungs that helps with breathing, is also removed.
Radiation therapy, also called radiotherapy, involves the use of high-energy rays to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Radiation therapy affects the cancer cells only in the treated area. The radiation may come from a machine (external radiation) or from putting materials that produce radiation through thin plastic tubes into the area where the cancer cells are found (internal radiation therapy).
Chemotherapy is the use of anticancer drugs to kill cancer cells throughout the body. Most drugs used to treat mesothelioma are given by injection into a vein (intravenous, or IV). Doctors are also studying the effectiveness of putting chemotherapy directly into the chest or abdomen (intracavitary chemotherapy).
To relieve symptoms and control pain, the doctor may use a needle or a thin tube to drain fluid that has built up in the chest or abdomen. The procedure for removing fluid from the chest is called thoracentesis. Removal of fluid from the abdomen is called paracentesis. Drugs may be given through a tube in the chest to prevent more fluid from accumulating. Radiation therapy and surgery may also be helpful in relieving symptoms

The big travel trends this past year were a big jump in travel to both Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. There’s been a lot of press recently about the Dominican Republic, and it’s safe to say that the Dominican Republic is now firmly on the radar of many travelers to the Caribbean. Puerto Rico has seen a similar bump in popularity, driven in part from the looser passport requirements (American citizens don’t require a passport to visit, since it’s a U.S. Territory).
The other big trend? The ongoing popularity of Jamaica and the Bahamas (especially Nassau). We’re also pleased to see St Lucia and St Maarten make the list again this year.

Chocolates- Sinfull?

Did you know chocolates contain alkaloids which has physiological effects on the body, and if eaten in moderation can help lower blood pressure. Cocoa and dark chocolate benefit the circulatory system. Other beneficial effects suggested include anticancer, brain stimulator, cough preventor and antidiarrhoeal effects.
